Privacy Policy

Prompt Vault is made by Zahar Baranenko, Ukraine, and is built to be private by default.

What we collect

Where your data lives

All prompts and settings you create are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. They never leave your device unless you explicitly use the Export feature to save them to a file yourself.

Network requests

The extension makes no network requests during normal use. The single exception: if you buy Pro and voluntarily enter your license key, the key (and a random install identifier) is sent to our licensing endpoint solely to verify the purchase, and re-checked at most once a day afterwards. No prompts or other user content are ever included in those requests.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the details needed to take payment, calculate tax and send your receipt (such as your email, country and payment method) and handles them under the Paddle Privacy Policy. We receive only what is needed to fulfil the order and issue your license key; we never see your full card details.

This website

This website uses no cookies and no analytics. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.

Permissions

• storage — to save your prompts and settings locally.
• Access to chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, perplexity.ai — to show the prompt picker and insert your chosen prompt into the chat box on those sites only.
• The extension requests no other permissions — no browsing history, no tabs, no access to any other website.

Your rights

Because the extension keeps your data only on your device, you control it fully: uninstalling the extension deletes it. For data related to a purchase, you can contact Paddle at paddle.net.

Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated date.
